We don’t know about you, but some good news can go a long way right about now. In Tybee Island, Georgia, good news comes in the form of business owner Jennifer Knox. Knox, who owns the popular place The Sand Bar, was struggling to find a way to help her unemployed staff when she quickly realized the help she needed was all around her, to begin with. Check it out…
Walking into The Sand Bar in Tybee Island, Georgia, you would likely draw your eyes to the thousands of dollar bills stuck to every surface, floor to ceiling.
For the past 15 years, patrons of The Sand Bar have been leaving behind mementos on the walls and ceilings in the form of dollar bills—each guest would write a message on the dollar and staple it up for all to see.
In total, the amount collected was $3,714—but after hearing about what Knox was doing for her employees, locals chipped in bringing the total to $4,104 which went to help the staff.
While Knox still doesn’t know what the future holds for The Sand Bar right now, she did what she had to do in order to care for her employees during these uncertain times.
