We all love Georgia, our glorious Peach state. We are constantly writing about the reasons why our state is the best of the best. But unfortunately, just as there are wonderful stats about Georgia, there are also a few troubling stats as well. We can’t say we’re all too proud about these tidbits of info, but alas, we’ll share them anyway.

1. Hartfield Jackson was named "3rd Worst Airport to Get Stuck In," in 2014.

It's busy as heck, and being stranded in Hartfield-Jackson is not an enjoyable experience.
2. Here's a little gem of a law in Acworth: All citizens must own a rake.

I get it: Gardening and maintaining your lawn is important....but really?
3. This fun law: You cannot live on a boat for more than 30 days during the calendar year, even if just passing through the state.

Seems a bit silly to us that if you have a boat and feel like living on it, you have a time frame in which you can do so.
4. Georgia had the highest unemployment rate in the nation in August, September, and October 2014.

5. For a very long time, food safety in Georgia depended on the honor system.

After Stewart Parnell and others at the Peanut Corporation of America knowingly shipped salmonella-tainted products across the country, (and were tried in court for doing so,) this brought to light some disturbing facts about Georgia food safety.

What's troubling though is what the heck happened to have this law put into place?!
