Part of the quaintness of the south is our small towns. Everyone knows everybody else, the crime level is low and the community is a tight-knit one. Well, these small towns in Georgia take “tiny” to a whole different level! You literally could not fill an auditorium with some of these towns–because there simply aren’t enough people.
Take a look at these 12 super tiny towns in Georgia that you probably didn’t even know existed:
Seville is the smallest town on our list with just 202 people! It is an unincorporated town in WIlcox County. Since it's so small, I couldn't find a picture. This is a picture of Pitts, GA. Seville is really close to Pitts, GA--only 7 miles away!
Surrency has a total of 203 people. It is located in Appling County. Featured here is the Bank of Surrency, which was built in 1911 and is on the National Register of Historical Places.
Mitchell has a whopping 204 people. It is located in Glascock County and is home to the Mitchell Depot Historical Museum, which was originally Mitchell's railroad depot.
AS of 2013, 206 people live here. This small town is located in Dooly County. It was originally named Midway, as it was the halfway point between Cordele and Montezuma. Upon discovering there was already a Midway town in Georgia, it was changed to Lilly in reference to the town's patriarchs. Featured here is the City Hall.
Last on our list is Brinson, with a total of 213 people. It's tied with Taylorsville. Brinson is located in Decatur County, and is 1.9 sq. miles total. Featured here is Brinson Town Hall.
These are the smallest towns in Georgia, and every one has less than 215 people! Do you know anyone from these towns? Are you from any of these towns? If so, shout it out in the comments below!
