As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
Lately, I’ve been intrigued by HGTV’s hit reality shows such as Tiny House Hunters, Tiny House and Big Living, which feature couples seeking financial and location freedom through tiny living. Just a quick Google search will show that this trend is spreading across the country like wildfire! (Most of these homes are less than $80K and under 500 sq. ft!) Think you wouldn’t want to live life that small? Well, these cute and adorably tiny-crafted houses just might change your mind!
1. Floating Red Lake Lounge - 451 Wilderness Camp Rd BH # 10
Yes that's right. This tiny house is on the lake! This cute little house is on the market for $70K! It's a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom house that's a whooping 500 sq. ft!
This is a beautiful wood (and tiny) house in Rincon with all the modern features. This 400 sq. ft. home has a screened-in porch with a ceiling fan. It's pretty affordable at $29,900.
This is a really tiny house that's only 168 sq. ft! It's a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom home that has a cedar exterior and a pine interior. The lot is not included with this home, meaning you would have to roll it somewhere else once you bought it. The asking price for this tiny home is $45,000.
This one is a little bit bigger at 232 sq. ft. It comes with all the fix ins', such as a 32-inch flat screen TV, an electric fireplace, security lights and a love seat! It's only $32,000.
This is one of the smallest houses on our list at 118 sq. ft. The location is ideal, as it's set on a lot in Savannah. It's a 1 bedroom/1 bathroom and its asking price is $45,000.
This cute mountain cottage is one of our more spacious homes on the list at 448 sq. ft. It's a 1 bedroom/1 bathroom home with hardwood floors, new gutters and a fresh paint job on the exterior. It's going for $55,000.
This is absolutely the smallest tiny house I've ever seen--and my favorite one on the list! It's a tiny 96 sq, ft! It features a full kitchen with a small family room and vaulted ceilings. It's only $27,000.
This is a house for the real outdoorsman--someone who pretty much wants to live as one with nature. It's the cheapest home on our list at $22,500 and is 250 sq. ft. You can get the water connected in here, but there is no sewer tank. (Like I said, its for the real outdoorsman.)
It’s also important to note that many times an extra fee is assessed for the land your tiny home is parked on–unless you buy the lot of land too. Sometimes, however, buying the lot is not even an option and you have to find a lot to park your tiny home on.
