The first stop on this road trip is none other than Amicalola Falls, one of the highlights of nature in Georgia. This 829-acre state park is home to a gigantic 729-foot waterfall that is the highest waterfall in the state. Rent a cabin within the park or just visit for the day to enjoy hiking and marveling at this humongous waterfall.

No matter the season, Arabia Mountain has a slice of natural beauty within the 40,000-acres of space in the National Heritage Area. When you specifically visit the Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve, you’ll explore a very rare monadnock, which is a hill that is isolated, rising above the surrounding area, made entirely of bedrock.
