Summer time is the best time in Georgia to do things for free or for cheap. There’s tons of festivals, affordable water parks to attend and yummy ice cream cones to eat! If you’re looking for some summer fun and don’t have much money to spare, check out these 13 awesome things you can do in Georgia for under $10!

If you're near Piedmont Park, it's a great place to go have fun for free. There's a pool, places to barbeque, or you can just run around and play volleyball. It's so large and diverse that it's always busy and full of people. (Not to mention there are tons of other public parks all over Georgia to enjoy. One of the benefits of living in Georgia is that there is always green space!)

If you didn't know, you can visit the historic MLK center in Atlanta for free! This historical memorial is a fun and interesting spot to take kids to learn about Georgia history!

The places to go hiking in Georgia are endless with our many state parks and North Georgia mountains! If you're not as rugged as some of our outdoor enthusiasts, taking a hike up Stone Mountain or Kennesaw Mountain can be just as enjoyable.

A quick internet search of "Georgia festivals" will return dozens and dozens of free or cheap festivals all over Georgia. (Speaking of ice cream, the annual Ice Cream Festival just happened Saturday in Piedmont Park!)

There are more than a couple of trails in Georgia, and most will have bike shops nearby. For about $10 per hour you can rent a bike!

I was surprised to find that we have many free museums all throughout Georgia! Pictured here is the National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center in Columbus, GA. Some other free museums are the Georgia Museum of Art, Telfair Academy, and the Savannah History Museum.

Enjoy a cheap concert on a summer night at Centennial Olympic Park. They have Wednesday Winedowns, which are musical performances in the park every Wednesday evening during the summer. Some recent artists include Shirley Diamond, Kenny Giles and the Q Band, DraKarr, and The PR Experience.

This is Splash ‘n Play-Riverside Park in Roswell, GA, and it's only $2 per kid! The Browns Mill Aquatic facility in Dekalb County is $5 for county residents and Helen's Tubing is $10 for kids 42" and under!
