Being a Georgia person, born and raised, means a few things. First, you’re awesome! Second, you care about family and you love being southern–and thirdly, you’ve done certain things that every Georgia native has done. From going to a Braves game to getting out on the lake on a hot summer day, every Georgian has done these 12 things.

Going to a Braves game is a great Georgia tradition practiced by Georgia folks all over!

This one is totally undeniable! We love our food--it's literally the center of our culture, family, and more! I know if you're from Georgia you've experienced some authentic southern food.

St. Simons Island is pictured here. It's one of our most favorite get-aways--going to the beach! And we have many beaches to choose from. If you don't want to drive to the beach, I'm sure there's a lake nearby.

The beautiful Oak Lane here! Matter-of-fact, everything in Savannah is beautiful! We have all made a trip to see this historic and romantic city at least once!

Ahh, the capital of our great state--Atlanta! Not only is there so much history here, but there are also great career opportunities--not to mention the tourist attractions! We have the largest aquarium in the world, the World of Coke and more!

C'mon! You know you've done it! I don't know why--maybe we're hot and cold at the same time?

There's something about us gathering around a large fire and socializing. I have no idea why we like to do it--but we do!

Now you may or may not have experienced this, depending on what part of Georgia you live in, but for most of south Georgia there's nothing more fun than riding a four wheeler through the mud!

This is another one you may or may have not experienced, based on what part of Georgia you're from, but I'm sure you know someone in Georgia who is into hunting. Hunting is a really big and popular sport here!

Georgia is not all country and farm animals--but we do have it! Little Georgia girls love horses and there are plenty of stables to keep them in.

Yes we do have farms and farm land here in Georgia. You may not live next to a field of cows but I'm sure you know someone who does!

Of course, since we're such big collegiate sports fans, you know we've got to tailgate! Tailgating is a popular activity among both college students and Georgia families alike.
