I love learning about history, and feel like I’m so lucky to be in a state that has such a rich past. There are so many great museums in Georgia, whether you’re looking for the broad or the hyper-specific. One of my favorite ways to take in history is to visit a historic house museum. We have many grand old homes in Georgia, and lots of them have been restored and are now open to the public as house museums. It’s so fascinating to walk through a place where people lived hundreds of years ago and see what life was like for them. The antique furniture, the old decor, and just the general feeling of being in these spots feels magical, like you stepped into a time capsule somehow. One of the best house museums in Augusta, GA is the lovely Meadow Garden. Check it out:
