Summer in Georgia is truly an amazing time – but let’s face it, it’s also quite a scorching time! It can feel like Peach State residents spend most of the warm months trying to find ways to stay cool. Fortunately, we’ve got some amazing parks here where you can relish in all kinds of water-filled fun, whether it’s wading in the shallow edges of a river, kayaking at a hidden lake, or catching some rays while the tide rolls in at the beach. The park we’re featuring today is tucked away in the small town of Maysville, located in Banks and Jackson Counties just north of Athens. It’s home to about 2,000 people and also Hurricane Shoals Park, a 71-acre park that’s especially magical in the summertime. Check it out:
