Summertime and warmer weather have people flooding to coastal Georgia for a little bit of surf and sand to welcome the season. But what about a new way to enjoy the hot temps and vacation days? We have a sunset cruise in Georgia that the whole family will love. It doesn’t just stop at sensational scenic views of the setting sun along the horizon, but there may or may not be a few frolicking dolphins thrown into the mix, too.
Boats and sunsets seemingly are a match made in heaven, especially if that combination happens to be in Tybee Island, Georgia during the warm summer months.
Thanks to Captain Mike’s Dolphin Tours, visitors to the area are able to enjoy sunset cruises along the waterways and have an outdoor adventure they will never forget.
The tour departs daily from Lazaretto Creek Marina and heads on over to the Atlantic Ocean, past the shrimp boats, boat docks, and other marina favorites.
Lasting approximately an hour to an hour and a half, visitors aboard will be able to enjoy an abundance of nature from the serene sea turtles to the friendly bottle-nosed dolphin riding the waves nearby.
Only available from May through September, visitors are also able to choose the sunset cruises, which are even more soothing and relaxing than the other boat tours.
A summer sunset in Georgia is not to be missed, especially when you have the opportunity to watch it disappear along the coast right on the Atlantic Ocean with dolphins in the distance.
Hours of Operation: Monday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
