There are a few cities in Georgia that have been bad, bad cities. We’re talking cities filled with sinful activities and vice businesses such as liquor stores, casinos and adult entertainment establishments. According to Find The Home, an online real estate and city data organization, the national average for vice businesses (liquor stores, casinos, and adult entertainment establishments) is 2.4 establishments per 10,000 people. In Georgia, some cities take this average and multiply it…by a lot. Here are the most statistically sinful cities in the state of Georgia:
1. Damascus, Georgia: 66.23 vice businesses per 10k people
If your jaws dropped from this staggering statistic, don't worry mine did, too. But fear not, Damascus, Georgia is not the worst place in the world. The stats are high, typically because the population is so low, coming in at 302 people in 2015. But that does mean that you can count on those 302 people having a grand old time.
2. Monticello, Georgia: 11.45 vice businesses per 10k people
Monticello comes in second as one of the most "sinful" cities in Georgia. With a population of around 2,500, you can't help but wonder what goes on within those city limits. However, most of the travelers to Monticello visit primarily because of the historic buildings, like the Jasper County Courthouse.
Lumpkin had around 1,200 inhabitants, and while it ranks high in vice businesses per capita, it also is home to the oldest hardware store in the entire state not to mention Providence Canyon State Park, a huge tourist attraction within the state.

4. Fort Gaines, Georgia: 8.881 vice businesses per 10k people
While Fort Gaines may look peaceful on the outside, the vice businesses are raging on the inside. Just kidding, the population in Fort Gaines comes in around 1100, which makes it fairly high for the statistical side of things. It's a beautiful city, however, despite the staggering stats, as it sits on a 130-foot bluff overlooking the Chattahoochee River and the plains of Alabama.
5. Darien, Georgia: 5.772 vice businesses per 10k people
While the stats may seem high for the 3,500 population of Darien, the city itself is a stunning place. It lies on Georgia's coast at the mouth of the Altamaha River, and is a beautifully charming place filled with rich history.
Have you been to any of the cities that made this list? Are they really as wild as the statistics seem to suggest? They’re most likely not, but we would love to hear your thoughts!
