What makes these towns so special is that they’re small in size, but have an ideal location, right on some of our bigger, or simply most beautiful, state rivers. The town draws its name from a series of, get this, SIX waterfalls that all drop into the Tallulah River. Come spring, water from the dam is released, allowing Tallulah Falls to be the ideal place to visit and kayak.

Near the South Carolina border in Stephens County lies the ever-lovely Toccoa. The town is known for the pristine mountain beauty and world famous Toccoa Falls, which draw thousands of visitors every spring.

Located in the Appalachian mountains, the town of less than 1,000 has garnered tons of attention for modeling itself after Alpine communties. It's an amazing town to visit during Oktoberfest, or simply to take a tube adventure down the Chattahoochee River.

Along the South Carolina-Georgia border lies Hartwell, the county seat of Hart County. This town of less than 5,000 has a huge lake, which most confuse for a river, as it travels through several different communities into South Carolina. Hartwell has a quaint downtown square that's also worth exploring, with tons of shops and restaurants.
