Who doesn’t love tacos? The crisp crunch of the shell, refried beans melding in harmony with melty cheese and bursts of cool sour cream. All the add-ons which can either make or break the flavor. Personally, I think tacos are one of the most versatile foods—one of those perfect meals where you can customize it exactly to your liking. Feel like shredded chicken? Done. Or maybe you’re vegetarian and prefer some tofu crumbles? No worries. Tacos rule, and while many may doubt that Georgia has great taco restaurants throughout the state, we’re here to prove otherwise.
1. The Original El Taco—1186 North Highland Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30306
This is the type of taco joint that serves up pretty much everything. Pork, mushroom, fried chicken, chorizo, lamb—you name it, they got it. But really all you'll need are the staples, a few tacos, a solid margarita, and some guac. The Original El Taco has it all.

2. The Taco Shed—100A S. Hwy 247, Warner Robins, GA 31088
The specialty at The Taco Shed would have to be the breakfast burritos. Cheesy, soft, yet crispy potatoes, with spicy chorizo, and salty egg make this taco one of the best ways to start your morning. Top it off with an oreo churro and you're in business.
First and foremost, don't go running to Blowin' Smoke Cantina, as they are temporarily closed until September 8th, 2016. But with that said, you can dream about the tacos here until they reopen. Everyone seems to fall in love with the beef brisket tacos. Plus, when you serve up inexpensive and delicious margaritas, that's always a bonus. Get the taco trio and have yourself a taco tasting!
4. Fuzzy’s Taco Shop—265 N Lumpkin St, Athens, GA 30601
There are a few Fuzzy's Taco Shops in the state of Georgia, but the one in Athens is pretty outstanding. The drinks are flowing and the tacos are dang tasty. It's inexpensive food set in a college town, but absolutely works when you want some tacos and tequila after a long day.

5. Flip Side Burgers & Tacos—1115 Broadway, Columbus, GA 31901
OK, you have to try the lobster tacos from Flip Side. Succulent lobster meat, doused in a bit of butter, and topped with all your favorite taco fixins'. There are so many different combos, such as the pulled pork and sweet potato, or the fried fish taco. You'll never run out of options.
Tacos and More Loncheria is a no-frills spot serving up delicious authentic Mexican cuisine like lengua and carne asada. If you want a straight forward taco experience, then this is your spot. They do not skimp on flavor, and reeeally do not skimp on salsa options.
7. Twisted Taco—115 Glynn St S, Fayetteville, GA 30314
If you want tacos that are a little outside of the box, then Twisted Taco should make your taco bucket list. From savory pulled pork tacos to the very popular boom boom shrimp tacos, this place makes each dining experience flavorful and fun. Besides, where else can you eat tacos inside of a jail cell?
8. Hankook Taqueria— 1341 Collier Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
Calamari Korean BBQ Taco. Those are the types of flavor combinations they serve up at Hankook Taqueria. (Or, try the Buffalo Chicken taco.) It is not a fancy spot by any means, but it sure is uniquely delicious. Besides, how many Korean BBQ Taco joints have you been to before?
There are three very important words to consider when talking about Treylor Park: Chicken. Pancake. Tacos. That’s right, one of the most popular menu items. These tacos are one-of-a-kind and out-of-this-world. Thin, crispy peppered pancakes housing delectable fried chicken, with a honey chili sauce and strawberry salsa...mmm mmm. Your tastebuds will never be the same. (That is, until you try the shrimp and grits tacos.)
At Nacho Mama’s, you’ll find casual dining with huge flavors. If you’re looking for a quick, yet delicious place to fill your belly, then this is the spot. Try the shredded beef tacos, or the mahi mahi, and make sure you douse everything in the mango habanero sauce.
