Paddle The Etowah River Trail For A One-Of-A-Kind Georgia Adventure
We have some fantastic hikes in Georgia. We’ve got trails that run through storybook woods, along city streets, and that follow along magical rivers. But if you’re looking for a truly unique experience, why not take a water trail? Paddling down a river in Georgia is basically an aquatic version of a hike. You get to enjoy the fresh air, see interesting local plant and wildlife, and you get some exercise. One of our favorite paddling adventures is the Etowah River Trail. The entire river is about 163 miles in length, though of course most opt for much shorter journeys along the river’s many public access points.
You can find lots more information about the Etowah Water Trail on the trail’s website. The site has maps showing you the public access points so you can find an area near you.
