Spending time outdoors in Georgia is one of the most sought after experiences for both residents and visitors alike. With summer right around the corner, now is the time to be venturing out into our great state more often. So, we decided to come up with a few outdoorsy things in Georgia that anyone can do.
Did you know that The Altamaha River has been compared to The Nile? It pumps 100,000 gallons of fresh water into the sea every second. Canoe down this ecological wonder and enjoy each bout of wildlife you encounter.
More than 220 acres....16 different garden styles...and a tons of enchanting flora and fauna. Gibbs Garden is a great place to walk, admire, and reflect on what Georgia nature is all about.

Spend a few hours floating down the river with your closest friends and a cooler of drinks. Either you can buy your own tube and float on, or go through a company which may charge $20-30. Relax, unwind, and let the river carry you to good times.

Chehaw Park in Albany, Georgia is a fun place to take the whole family. Not only are there more than 700 acres of pure enjoyment, there are also more than 100 acres of the Wild Animal Park. Ride the train, pet some animals, and catch a colorful performance.
Brasstown Bald is one of the top hiking spots in the entire state. It's the perfect place to see for miles, as well as take in some of the most splendid sunsets Georgia has to offer.
