The DeSoto Falls Trail outside of Dahlonega, Georgia is a 1.9 out-and-back hike that is dubbed great for all skill levels.
If you keep an eye out at the trailhead, you’ll find a sign which details that the name of the trail is based off of a discovery of a plate of armor back in the 1880s.
Pretend you’re discovering the area for the very first time, like Hernando deSoto, and wander through the trail enjoying all the beauty of Mother Earth.
