Believe it or not, there are a lot of dangerous places throughout our state of Georgia. While many parts of the state are filled with beauty and wonder, there are some that have been noted as extremely risky to go about by oneself. From particularly scary intersections to crime-ridden cities, here are the ten most dangerous, deadly places in the state:
Tifton, GA, USA
According to FBI statistics, the city of Tifton, Georgia ranks very high on the deadliest places in the state. Why? Because with more than 110 assaults, 50 robberies, and even one murder, it statistically is a very scary spot. Yikes!
This metro intersection in Atlanta tops the list as the most dangerous in the state. There have been the most accidents in one month at this intersection, coming it at a whopping 22.

Although a beautiful spot in the state, Lake Lanier has led to quite a few deaths throughout the last few decades. Between boat accidents and drowning deaths, the toll clocks in at around 19 at the famed vacation destination.

While many people in Georgia love to hike, there are certain dangers which accompany the activity. A few years ago, a teenager slipped and fell along the Mount Yonah Hiking Trail, plummeting over 600-feet to her death. Many people have confirmed that Mount Yonah has very steep cliffs and trails, leading to a dangerous vertical drop-off.
The 1936 tornado in Tupelo-Georgia was one of the deadliest in tornado history. In fact, the worst tornado-caused death toll in a single building was at the Cooper Pants Factory, during this same storm.

College Park, GA, USA
Coming in at almost 300 violent crimes per year, College Park ranks very high as being a dangerous, and potentially deadly city in Georgia. There were 10 murders and more than 150 robberies in the city reported in 2016.
