How To Experience A Full Month Of Terror This October In Georgia

October is one of those months where many people almost crave being scared out of their wits. They seek out haunted houses, restaurants, ghost tours, and the like in order to truly experience Halloween and everything leading up to the terrifyingly fun holiday. Since Georgia is such a fan of the spirit of Halloween, (as well as scaring people half to death,) we’ve decided to come up with a calendar of sorts, in order to rightfully experience a month of terror throughout the state this October. Check out what we’ve come up with.
October 7th – 9th
Blue Orb Zombie Ghost Tour— 14 Hull St, Savannah, GA 31401
Blue Orb Ghost Tours have been a staple throughout the Savannah area. However, they also introduced a Zombie Ghost Tour, which not only tours the ghosts of Savannah and their history, but also the voodoo and witchcraft from the Southern undead.
Turner County Jail Tour— 241 E. College Ave., Ashburn, GA
This historic jail, along with The Crime and Punishment Museum, have added a paranormal activity on Fridays and Saturday Nights. People can join the ghost hunting tours throughout the old jail, in order to seek out some paranormal spirits and those who continue to haunt within the walls of what was once a terrifying jail.
Gates of Misery Haunted House— 174 Chatillon Rd, Rome, GA 30161
Are you ready for a terrifying experience that may haunt your dreams from this point forward? Gates of Misery is an interactive haunted house in Rome, Georgia that is PERFECT for an October scare. Tickets go on sale nightly at 7:00 p.m. and the horror begins at 7:30 p.m. sharp. Be there if you dare.
October 14th – 16th
13 Stories Haunted House—320 Temple Ave, Newnan, GA 30263
Urban legend says there is a 13-story haunted house so horrifying, you need to sign a waiver to get in. It is filled with all things that go bump in the night—killer clowns, snakes, roaches, monsters, the undead. 13 Stories Haunted House wanted to recreate this nightmare, and did so with their own cutting edge technology. Ranked by USA Today as one of the top 10 extreme attractions in the U.S., only the brave enter.
Roswell Ghost Tour—617 Atlanta St, Roswell, GA 30075
This comprehensive ghost tour throughout Roswell is sure to delight and terrify all those who decide to partake. Husband and wife team Joe and Dianna Avena sure know their stuff, and will not only include loads of history, but also the most paranormal places in town.
17Hundred90 Inn and Restaurant—307 E President St, Savannah, GA 31401
It doesn’t have to be all haunted houses and ghost tours. You can also visit this haunted restaurant in Savannah. The 17Hundred90 is one of the most popular haunted Inns and Restaurants in the state. The most famed ghost, Anna Powell, fell from the window of room 204 and has since haunted the grounds, terrifying the customers and making her presence known every chance she got.
October 21st – 23rd
Nightmare’s Gate— 4179 Vansant Rd, Douglasville, GA 30135
This haunted house is not for the faint of heart. An infection is spreading through the walls and the doctors and nurses are falling victim to the horrific scene. Patients are overtaking hospital staff, and things are looking grim. Do you have what it takes to navigate through these walls and make it out alive?
Copper Creek Farm Haunted Corn Maze— 1514 Reeves Station Rd SW, Calhoun, GA 30701

This terrifying 60,000 square foot walk-through house is an experience that only few can handle. Unfathomable horrors, gruesome scenes, and terrifying tales are to be expected. What actually started as a hotel, has now reopened as a chilling haunted house, perfect for this upcoming Halloween.
