The Peach State’s big cities certainly have plenty of incredible restaurants, but don’t neglect our wonderful small-town restaurants in Georgia! Whether you’re up in the North Georgia mountains or down towards the Florida border, you’ll find plenty of wonderful little restaurants. These places may not make the headlines, but they are just as tasty as anything you’d get in a big metropolitan area. One of the tastiest small-town restaurants in Georgia is The Grill in Hawkinsville. The nondescript name may not grab your attention, but the burgers certainly will!
You'll find The Grill right in Hawkinsville's downtown district. The city of Hawkinsville is the county seat of Pulaski County, but it's got a population of under 5,000. It's best known as the Harness Racing Capital of Georgia, as it's home to a horse track used for harness training.
You'll find a small, but delectable, menu here. The burgers have been voted as some of the best in the state, and you can also grab breakfast, sandwiches, and hot dogs.
It's no surprise that The Grill is popular with locals, so make sure to get here early, or else you might find yourself having to wait a little while for a seat!
