There’s something fascinating about a covered bridge that stirs up a sense of nostalgia and a yearning for days of yore. At one time, we had more than 250 covered bridges in Georgia, but you’ll find just a small handful today. The longest of them all is the Red Oak Creek Covered Bridge in Woodbury, GA. Woodbury is a tiny city with a population of under 1,000 people. It’s in Middle Georgia and it’s a wonderful place for a quick day trip. Check it out:
