5 Insane Things That Happened In Georgia You Won’t Find In History Books
We’ve all loved the state of Georgia simply for the mark it has made in history. There is such a rich story surrounding this beautiful state, it’s hard not to be a fan. However, there are quite a few pieces of Georgia history that haven’t quite made it into the history books just yet. Check out some insane stories we’ve uncovered, and prepare to be shocked.

According to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, Jennifer Nicholson, a patron of the restaurant, became completely belligerent—for reasons unknown to the police—at a Kennesaw, GA Waffle House. Nicholson stripped off her clothes, threw platters of food at other customers, broke a window, and then topped everything off by punching a woman, and ultimately breaking her nose. The warrant for her arrest doesn't detail why exactly she became so upset, but we assume it has something to do with the lag in coffee cup refills.

Lee County, Georgia—Larry McElroy accidentally shot his mother-in-law after attempting to shoot an armadillo on his property. The bullet ricocheted off the animal, hit a fence and went into the back door of his mother-in-law’s mobile home — a distance of about 100 yards. She survived, but sadly the armadillo did not. Talk about a Happy Mother's Day.

A teenage in Hull, Georgia, became $31,000 richer when a man with the same name went to make a deposit in his account. After more than a week, the man realized the money was not in his account, and contacted the bank. In November of 2013, employee Amy Seiber was arrested in Lovejoy, Georgia after a customer found a half-smoked joint inside her burger. When police showed up, Seiber told them the joint belonged to her, and that she "misplaced" it inside the cheeseburger. She was arrested. The customer said she had symptoms similar to food poisoning, and had to be hospitalized. What did the hospitalized woman receive from Wendy's? A $50 gift card, of course.

Maybe it wasn't THE Naked Cowboy of New York, but it was certainly a naked cowboy. Police in Johns Creek, Georgia found a man breaking into homes wearing nothing but a cowboy hat. Ashdon Gibbs, 21, was arrested for his nude crime spree after stealing a car, then breaking into houses to drink beer and watch the Braves game. Guess he wasn't a fan of paying for his own cable...?
