1. The population of Georgia could fill Rhode Island 9.5 times over!
There are 10.1 million people in Georgia and only 1.055 million people in Rhode Island!

2. Agriculture contributes $72.5 billion to Georgia’s economy each year. That’s more than the GDP of the Bahamas, San Marino, Iceland, Jamaica and Nepal combined!
4. There are more obese people in Georgia than there are people in Mississippi, Arkansas, Utah, Kansas and many other states. That's more than 3 million obese people in the state of Georgia.
5. There are also enough uninsured people in Georgia to fill both Wyoming and Vermont combined. Georgia has the fifth highest rate of uninsured people in the country.
7. Georgia is ranked 9th for the highest number of adults without high school diplomas. That’s about 866,000 adults...and California, Nevada and Texas have more than that.
Georgia had more than 3,700 claims in 2014, and insurance companies paid more than $16 million. That’s 1,500 more claims than Texas, which had 2,201 claims related to lightning incidents in 2014.
