Whether you’re down by our southern shores or up in our northern mountains, there’s no shortage of scenic places in Georgia. Hiking on our many great trails in Georgia is one of the best activities to enjoy here, and it’s got the added benefit of being excellent exercise. If you’re looking to explore some of the best trails with some of the most wonderful views in North Georgia, we’ve curated quite a fun road trip for you! The entire trip requires just under five hours of driving and will take you to six of the prettiest places in the state. The trip provides great opportunities for hiking and enjoying all the natural wonders that lie at our northernmost tip.
Cloudland Canyon is one of the most incredible places in Georgia. This spot belongs on every Peach State traveler's bucket list. There are more than 60 miles of trails here, and you'll get to enjoy some wonderful scenery. With waterfalls, mountains, and more, there's such a great variety of landscape to enjoy. 2. Fort Mountain State Park

Fort Mountain State Park is home to one of the best fire towers in Georgia. There are some wonderful hikes to enjoy here, and the 1.5-mile trail to the Civilian Conservation Corps-built fire tower is one of our favorites. Visit on a clear day and you can see for miles!
As the highest natural point in Georgia, it's no surprise you can enjoy some amazing views from atop Brasstown Bald. One of the best things about this peak is that you don't even have to trudge through a strenuous hike to reach the top. You can take a 0.6-mile hike or enjoy a seasonal shuttle ride to the peak . Regardless of how you get to the top, this place offers such a great panoramic view you won't find anywhere else.

hike to Anna Ruby Falls is an easy paved trail that's only about a mile long. The beautiful pair of waterfalls is stunning in any season, and this is one of the best attractions near Helen, GA.
6. Tallulah Gorge

The road trip is finished up with a visit to Tallulah Gorge State Park. This place is home to the 1,000-foot-deep gorge that shares its name, and you can vet some truly incredible views from several places in the park. There's a swinging bridge that spans the gorge if you'd like to see the sights from the air, but you can also enjoy trails along the upper rim or even hikes on the canyon floor. Note that free permits are required to access the lower gorge trails.
