If you travel north of Dahlonega, at the intersection of US 19 and SR 60, you'll find the grave of Cherokee Princess Trahlyta. It was said that the Princess sought out the Witch of Cedar Mountain in order to stay young and beautiful. Unfortunately, the Princess was kidnapped and killed and stones were placed on her grave. Legend has it that if you remove the stones, the Witch of Cedar Mountain will curse you indefinitely, but placing new stones on her grave will bring you good fortune.

Along an old, narrow road in Canton, Georgia you'll find Hell's Church. It's a tiny white church and is said to be haunted. The graves across from the cemetery are from the 18th century, but the most notable frightening situation was in the 1980s when a boy was found mutilated in the cemetery. It was said to be a cult ritual, which still haunts the church to this day.
