In the spirit of Halloween, we’ve decided to dig up some dirt on a very haunted place in Georgia that has seem to have flown under the radar for many years. We all know Georgia has such a beautifully rich history—but we also know that with history comes potential room for paranormal spirits left behind. And nothing will chill you to the bone quite like the story behind this haunted castle in Georgia.
Our story begins in Grantville, Georgia, the tiny town of less than 5,000 inhabitants.
It was also reported that a spectral cat was reported on the grounds throughout the span of a few decades. (A spectral cat is one that can be summoned only by a witch through a series of spells).
Then there were reports of a man who continued visiting the property claiming to be the original owner of the castle; except at the time, the original owner would have been dead for over a decade.
People who have lived in Bonnie Castle reported doors slammed in their faces, and weird apparitions appearing in the windows. Although the castle became a Bed & Breakfast for many years, people still spent the night in hopes to catch a paranormal thrill.
Perhaps it was the rumored exorcism that took place to clear the castle of spirits...or perhaps they're still there, waiting for another chance to make themselves known.
Do you believe in this terrifying story of Bonnie Castle? Would you consider spending the night in this haunted spot? Although the Bed and Breakfast has been reported closed, there still may be a chance to spend the night nearby, or venture by on a dark night…
