And while there aren’t exact replicas of these majestic structures, there is an architectural wonder in Georgia that could be ripped from the pages of the novels. By far, that destination is St. Joseph Catholic Church in Macon, and its Gothic-style architecture will leave you breathless. Let’s explore this majestic Harry Potter inspired church and let our imaginations fly free.
Perhaps there is no wizardry or magic in the halls of St Joseph Catholic Church, but the stunning building could easily be in the Harry Potter novel.
The twin spires and the breathtaking Gothic-style architecture can be seen towering over the surrounding buildings. It’s certainly is a sight to behold and naturally, you’ll want to capture pictures of it.
Located on 812 Poplar Street in the heart of Macon, this gorgeous church is open to the public for exploration.
Stop by from Monday to Friday starting at 9:30 a.m., and you can also visit on the weekends. But keep in mind any mass or services that might be in session.

Though this church is situated in the middle of town, the immaculate grounds will make you believe that you’re along the countryside of Britain or Scotland.
Even at twilight the church is as enchanting as can be. Of course, as a muggle, you might just need to use your imagination to truly experience the magic.
And speaking of magic, it’s no coincidence that there’s a classic car parked outside the church.
Obviously, it’s not the Flying Ford from the movies, but perhaps it too is enchanted with wizardry and magic.
Whether or not this church would be in a Harry Potter novel, there’s no denying the Gothic-style structure is truly an architectural wonder in Georgia.
