Georgia in the 1950s—a time of change and a time of revolution. The Civil Rights movement was in full swing, led by Martin Luther King Jr.. Buildings were erected downtown and beautiful cars dotted the busy streets. (Did we mention poodle skirts and bobby socks were all the rage?) Today, hotels are built sky-high and tower over the city. But back in 1950, it was a quaint little spot to bring the family, with some serious retro vibes.
Nowadays, people can pick up their prescriptions, develop film, buy alcohol, and even lottery tickets all in the same spot. Not to mention rent a movie on Redbox. My oh my, have times changed.
The field meet was one of motorcycling's most iconic activities, when riders of all ages and genders would get together and display their riding skills. Fancy seeing a woman showing the men how to do it back then.
