Exploring small towns in Georgia is an adventure in itself. There are so many small towns throughout Georgia worth visiting, you might as well start your spreadsheet now. But what makes these adventures so fun is that there really aren’t too many cities or towns that are the same. For instance, this tiny beach town in Georgia is going to have vastly different activities than say, a mountain town. So for those explorers looking for a little mountain getaway with fresh air and nobody for miles, Suches is the small town for you.
Suches, Georgia is a small mountain town that offers a little bit of a breather from other heavily populated small towns or bigger cities in Georgia.
And while you may need to drive around 15 miles to find a grocery store, this type of solitude is what is such a big draw for hikers, fisherman, mountain climbers, birdwatchers, and those just looking to get away.
Nicknamed "The Valley Above the Clouds" Suches is known primarily for the abundant views high in the mountains, plus the plethora of things to do that are solely outdoor-related.
While there aren’t too many restaurants throughout Suches to choose from, there are still enough to where you’ll never go without a hot meal when you visit.
And if you really want a place where the locals hang out, check out Two Wheels of Suches—it doesn’t hurt that their breakfast platters are always hot and tasty.
