We hear the words “haunted” and immediately start to picture ghosts hiding behind old grandfather clocks and wandering the halls of the building with chains rattling along the floor. However, that’s a bit of an exaggeration in this case. There are quite a few haunted places in Georgia that you probably wouldn’t even know were haunted if you didn’t hear about it first. This particular brewery is one of them. Despite having plenty of stories surrounding hauntings attached to it, the brewery still is a huge draw for both visitors and residents to Savannah.
Craft beers on tap, a warm, community atmosphere, award-winning brews, and….ghosts.
Okay, okay, maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration when describing Moon River Brewing Company in Savannah, Georgia, but alas, this delightful brewery has technically been deemed haunted by many.
Heck, this brewery has even been featured on shows like Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures thanks to the history and hauntings that have been described.
While we won’t go into all the details of the hauntings in Moon River Brewery (because that’s what the ghost tour of the brewery is for) it’s worth mentioning that the basement and the second floor are said to be the most haunted spots of all.
Here’s the thing, though—the chances of you seeing a ghost while you visit Moon River Brewing Company are not very high, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t enjoy an afternoon on the patio indulging in some sunshine.
And one thing that you are guaranteed when you visit this haunted brewery—a delicious array of award-winning, craft beers in a historical hot spot in Savannah.
