For anyone who lives near Cartersville, Georgia, or any Georgians who have been to Booth Western Art Museum likely knows about the Southeastern Cowboy Festival & Symposium that takes place every year. This year, the Cowboy Festival will be back and better than ever, with a ton of events and attractions that are fun for the whole family. Starting on Thursday, October 21, 2021, and running through Saturday, October 23, 2021, come to check out dancers, rope demonstrations, gunfight reenactments, chuckwagon cooking, and so much more.
The 18th Annual Southeastern Cowboy Festival is back this year bringing you a taste of the west for three days.
The festival kicks off on Thursday, October 21, with a Member Exhibition Opening and Gallery Walk. Here members will be able to tour the art gallery, enjoying a reception and conversations with the artists.
Then Saturday is when all of the family fun happens. Kicking off with events starting at 9:30 a.m., the festival will showcase Western culture throughout the day.
If you’ve never been to this festival before, then expect to find a wide variety of Western-themed events, including the ever-popular gunfight reenactments.
There are various stations set up throughout the grounds with live demonstrations! Kids can learn all about blacksmithing or throwing pottery from a true professional.
There will also be Chuck Wagon cooking during the event offering a true taste of the west. A sample of the Chuck Wagon food available for purchase includes biscuits, cornbread, beans, pot roast or meat stew, potatoes, and cobbler.
