She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). There’s something so nostalgic about some ice cream parlors in Georgia. Maybe it’s the childhood memories they bring up, maybe it’s the fact they often have retro decorations. Maybe it’s just the timeless joy of indulging in a sweet frozen treat. Whatever it is, ice cream shops are delightful places to visit, no matter how old you are. One of our favorite ice cream parlors in Georgia is Connie’s. This charming old-fashioned spot in Dahlonega will make you feel like you stepped back in time to simpler days.
Dahlonega's downtown square district is filled with adorable local shops. Walking through here will remind you of the days before corporate stores were on every block.
The historic buildings and tree-lined sidewalks make life feel so simple. If you ask us, there's no better way to indulge in this timeless atmosphere than by enjoying a nice ice cream treat, so it's fortunate that Connie's is located right downtown.
This quaint little shop is distinctly old-school, with limited seating but plenty of charm.
Ice cream has such a timeless appeal, whether you're a purist or like it smothered in toppings. Next time you've got a craving for a frozen treat with a side of nostalgia, check out Connie's Ice Cream Parlor!
