Lisa loves animals and has dogs, rats, cats, guinea pigs, and snakes. She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). We’ve got seafood restaurants in Georgia aplenty – turns out all that coastline is good for more than just scenic views! Understandably, many of the Peach State’s top-rated seafood spots are located near the water, but you’d be surprised how many options there are for great seafood in Atlanta. One Atlanta-area spot that offers up some delectable dishes despite its inland location is the Marietta Fish Market. It’s been open for over a decade and serves up some of some of the city’s best seafood in a fun environment that’s full of charm. Fish aren’t just on the menu: they’re living in a tank here, too!
This bright and colorful restaurant is quite eye-catching from the outside, with glowing neon lights and a unique design.
The highlight of the interior, though, is the huge fish tank. It was installed by the team from "Tanked," a popular show on Animal Planet that designs and stocks high value aquariums.
This place isn't all show, though - the menu is just as noteworthy as the decorations. Whether you like it fried, baked, or broiled, there's seafood for everyone here.
It might feel like there aren't too many different things you can do with seafood, but Marietta Fish Market manages to provide unique menu items to make sure you don't get bored.
Looking to travel to Marietta and need somewhere to stay? I highly recommend the Omni Hotel at the Battery for a luxury experience not far from the city’s many attractions.
