Have you ever taken a long ride through this gracious and beautiful state? Oh, the sights to be seen! We are lucky to live in a state so full of natural beauty and wonder that we never have to wander far to find it. Here are our picks for some of the best scenic drives in Georgia that you have to add to your bucket list, ASAP.
If you're looking for scenic drives in Savannah, GA, there's scenery aplenty. here! Now, this is not exactly a country road but it sure is beautiful, so we're going to throw it in here, anyway. History buffs and admirers of architecture will enjoy this one!
2. Cruise along Dixie Highway between Cartersville and Adairsville.
Originally planned in 1914 to connect the Midwest with the American South, the Dixie Highway will take you through the best of Georgia. You won't believe the greenery. This is may be the most beautiful of the Georgia scenic byways.
State Route 6 might be a highway you frequent already; it's much more commonly known as Jimmy Lee Smith Parkway, Jimmy Campbell Parkway, Nathan Dean Parkway, and Wendy Bagwell Parkway in Paulding County. It's also called C.H. James Parkway in Cobb County, Thornton Road in Douglas County, Camp Creek Parkway, and honorarily as Tuskegee Airmen Parkway in Fulton County. Whew!

The location of this road in Georgia is unknown but it sure looks welcoming! It's a common scene all over the state, as we've got so many lovely country roads out there to cruise around on. You never know where you'll end up. There are so many incredible Georgia scenic byways and backroads.
This is the famous road in front of Wormsloe Plantation in Savannah. The way the Spanish moss trees hang over this road makes it one of the most unique-looking roads in Georgia, if not the entire United States. It is absolutely dreamy. This is absolutely one of the best scenic drives in Georgia.
This road brings to mind the long and hot Georgia summers of times past, back when we and our friends would ride bikes until the sun fell out of the sky. Those were the good times.
