Fall in Georgia is rolling around again, and those of us who love autumn adventures couldn’t be happier. Anyone else start Googling “pumpkin patches near me” as soon as that first brisk morning hits you? Whether you’re looking forward to fall festivals, cooler days, football season, or the kids being back in school, there’s so much to love about this time of year. One of my favorite fall activities is visiting a pumpkin patch, and we’re lucky enough to have many pumpkin patches throughout North Georgia. These provide so much fun for the entire family. Here are a few of our favorites that you’ll want to check out this year:
1. Southern Belle Farm: McDonough
Southern Belle Farm, 1658 Turner Church Rd, McDonough, GA 30252, USA

2. Yahoo Farm: Jasper
Yahoo Farm, 4729 Waleska Hwy, Jasper, GA 30143, USA

Pettit Creek Farms, 337 Cassville Rd, Cartersville, GA 30120, USA
Cartersville's Pettit Creek Farms has a lot to offer visitors. There's a huge herd of camels, plus other exotic animals, like giraffes and zebras. Come fall, the farm's Pumpkin Fest has even more fun. Wagon rides, a corn maze, and more all make for a great day of family-friendly entertainment. Pumpkin Fest starts September 23 and runs through October 31. You can learn more from the Pettit Creek Farms Facebook page.
Looking for the best pumpkin patch near Athens, GA? Washington Farms is located just outside of the Classic City and has a ton of family fun for all ages in the fall. There are nearly 40 fall activities here, including a corn maze, sunflowers, a corn box, mini-train, and more. If you'd just like to visit the pumpkin patch, you only have to pay for what pumpkins you purchase, but you can purchase tickets to the other fall attractions from the Washington Farms website. The fall season starts on September 23.
5. Randy's Pumpkin Patch: Lawrenceville
RANDYS PUMPKIN PATCH, 1460 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30044, USA
Randy's Pumpkin Patch is one of the best pumpkin patches near Atlanta. It's in the suburb of Lawrenceville and opens up for the season on September 20. There are some great activities here that the family can enjoy: in addition to the pumpkin patch, you'll also find face painting, pony rides, an inflatable obstacle course, and more.
6. Uncle Shuck's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch: Dawsonville
We love Dawsonville so much - it's the perfect town for any season in Georgia. However, it's especially magical in the fall, and it's no surprise that many travel here for prime leaf peeping. The 15-acre corn maze and huge pumpkin patch even has a haunted corn trail for those brave enough to head out on Friday and Saturday evenings. Uncle Shuck's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch opens for the season on September 16.
7. Sleepy Hollow Farm: Powder Springs
Sleepy Hollow Farm, 628 Sleepy Hollow Rd, Powder Springs, GA 30127, USA
