Beginner hiking trails in Georgia are just as rewarding as some of the more sweat-inducing, long-form trails. You don’t need to complete a 15-mile out and back in order to get some truly photo-worthy natural beauty. In fact, we have a hiking trail in Georgia that is beginner-friendly, whole-family-worthy, and even has a stellar waterfall, too.
The hike to Becky Branch Falls Lang the Bartram Trail and Warwoman Trail is a short burst of nature clocking in at under 1.5 miles round trip.
A perfect beginner hike for those just getting into hiking or a great family hike, you’ll be able to enjoy the very popular Beck Branch Falls waterfall.
First, the Warwoman Dell is named after a Cherokee woman who visited the area often and was well-respected within her tribal council on matters of war and peace.
William Bartram, as many Georgians are already familiar, explored through the 1700s, finding different items within the flora and fauna to ship back to London.
And just for an added dose of history, part of the hike will take you along the proposed site of the Blue Ridge Railroad — fit with an unfinished tunnel about four miles out.
