Fishing is a practice that requires a lot of time and patience, and it's something that many Georgia folks enjoy. Now more people than not would rather watch fishing on T.V. or read about it on the Internet.

Since the Internet took over, less and less people get outside and enjoy our beautiful state. We have tons of places to hike and enjoy that many people just don't take advantage of anymore since we have the Internet.

While this is not true in all of Georgia, there are some neighborhoods where the parents are so afraid of letting their children go outside to play that they don't know any of the other kids or parents in the neighborhood. This leaves the kids no other option but to play video games or surf the Internet. This is a far cry from 30 years ago when every parent knew every other parent and kid in the neighborhood.

Another big drawback of the Internet is that many kids no longer play outside. It's a really sad consequence since playing outside can cultivate some of the best memories a child can have.

Before allrecipes.com and other recipe blogs, people had to KNOW how to cook. They had to learn from their mom or grandmother, and keep the knowledge of cooking in their heads. This oral tradition helped many "made-from-scratch" recipes survive through generations. Once people could find an easier way to make dishes online, this oral tradition slowly began to die.

Storytelling was a huge form of entertainment for children before the invention of the Internet. Now, kids would rather play video games than hear bedtime stories.

Even though television also helped to deter family conversation during dinner time, smart phones really did not help the situation either!
