Remember those days when you had a break from your regular school day, and were able to let loose somewhere special in your state? Georgia was perfect for field trips, because there were so many different options for the school systems to choose from. We’ve come up with a list of some of the most memorable Georgia field trips most of us took while we were kids, and perhaps a few we should retake now as adults.
The History Center in Atlanta not only includes one of the Southeast's largest history museums, but also two historic sites: Swan House and Tullie Smith farm. It's barely enough time to spend the day exploring all the cool historic sites here.
So many schools and classes have been through the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site. It's such a great place to teach an important history lesson, all the while supporting one of the greatest advocates for change and equality of our generation.
