I’m telling ya–I LOVE living in Georgia, but there are some things that I just cannot stand. For instance, the pollen or the traffic around Hwy 285–those things make me miserable! If you live in Georgia, here are eight things you’ve grown to undeniably hate:

All the beautiful trees we have in Georgia come with a price: pollen. For those of you who have just moved to Georgia, you never get used to it. The pollen in Georgia is as thick as a blanket, and yes, that is a lake of pollen in the picture.

There are 10.1 million people in Georgia and 6.1 of them live in metropolitan Atlanta. Atlanta is one of the largest metropolitan areas in the country and it's surrounded by Hwy 285. Most people in metropolitan Atlanta drive or take MARTA into the city to work and have to deal with the massive traffic on a daily basis. It's really starting to become unbearable!

For 75% of the year, Georgia has pretty moderate weather, but when summer time hits--whew! It can get boiling hot in Georgia. So hot in fact, you can't let your kids or pets outside for fear of a heat stroke. The unbearable heat can certainly become tiring.

I have to admit, I love the food here in Georgia, but it doesn't love my waistline! Southern food is rich and should only be eaten on special occasions. It's hard to not eat it often, because it really is just that good!

In the 2000 census, Georgia had roughly 8.1 million people, now we have 10.1 million people--you do the math! People are moving into the state at a quick rate and it's quickly becoming crowded. With our low cost of living, great jobs, and schools, everyone wants to live here.

With that being said, the cost of living is increasing at an alarming rate in metropolitan Atlanta. This is because more and more people are moving here and we're quickly running out of space. Don't live anywhere near Atlanta and think it can't affect you? At the rate that Atlanta is sprawling, it'll soon touch Macon, and so will the raised cost of living. Pictured Here: Vinings, GA

Our public transportation system (MARTA) isn't very efficient because it can't handle the large amount of people using it. It's always breaking down and it's always late during rush hour. It's a real nuisance sometimes!

Bugs, bugs, and more bugs! You can't walk outside and sit in your yard without being bit up by 50 red ants or spiders or something else! Anyone who has lived through a Georgia summer knows that OFF bug spray can be your best friend.
These are all things I truly hate about Georgia. Now I know some of you cannot relate to the traffic around Hwy 285 or how bad MARTA is, so I want you to tell me; what are some things you’ve grown to hate in your town? Tell us in the comments below!
