For those of you who grew up in Georgia, there are probably certain things along the way that will trigger fond memories and make you say, “yep, that’s totally Georgia.” In fact, there might be quite a few on this list that you could definitely relate to. Things that maybe you didn’t think were a Georgia-thing because you’re so used to them by now. Get ready to have a few a-ha moments after discovering that yessir, these are absolutely signs you grew up in Georgia.

The nickname The Peach State didn’t come about until the mid-1990s, which means if you grew up in Georgia you were likely very familiar with the transition. Heck, maybe you still even call it the Empire State of the South and there isn’t a darn thing wrong with that either.

Also, people that complain about the heat and humidity make you laugh and laugh hard. Unless of course, they're from Florida, in which you can buy them a beer and share in the pain.
