Turtles are everywhere in Florida, both in the wild and sometimes kept as pets. I saved one that was dead set on walking onto the road just the other day (I didn't take him home though.) The photographer didn't specify, but I believe this is a box turtle. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!
