16 Things You Absolutely Love If You're From Florida

The native Floridian is a very unique and diverse species, but there are a few things we all absolutely adore.

1. Flip flops (or even better, bare feet). Because we usually have really nice grass or sandy beaches to walk on.

2. Air conditioning. Because it's essential.

3. Seafood. Because we have some of the best.

4. Bodies of Water...

5. Natural or man-made. Anything you can do on land is usually even better in the water.

6. Adirondacks. And anything else that lets you sit outside for hours.

7. Shades. There's nothing cuter than a dog in sunglasses, except maybe a baby in sunglasses.

8. Shells. A lot of our homes will have shell art, shell crafts, shell jewelry, shell collections...they're just so pretty.

9. Publix. You just can't beat a pub sub.

10. BBQ. Some people think we're not "Southern" enough, but the number of BBQ places we have tells another story.

11. Sunsets. Because we have some of the best.

12. Sweet Tea. A summertime essential. Or even better, year-round.

13. Soul Food. Okra, greens, fried green tomatoes (heck yes), boiled peanuts, grits, we love them all here.

14. Shade. Another essential.

15. Bug repellent. Because our State Bird is the mosquito (with roaches it's just quicker to stomp).
