A Brand New Water Park Is Opening In Florida And It Looks Incredible

If you live in the Orlando area or have taken any recent trips to the Universal Resort over the last several months, then there’s a good chance you’ve seen the making of a 200-foot tall mountain coming to life. If you’ve been just as curious as us, you’ll be happy to learn that we finally know what this eye-catching attraction is going to be! Universal Orlando will be unveiling their latest attraction this summer – a water park unlike any other called Volcano Bay.
Covering 30-acres of the resort and featuring 18 unbelievable attractions, Volcano Bay will not feel like your average water park.
Guests will be able to experience this theme park based around water with an assortment of attractions that will be great for all ages.
Volcano Bay will feature Universal's latest crowd management system TapuTapu, a wearable device that will essentially eliminate lines within the water park.
Something guests have been looking forward to, the new ride reservation system will also unlock other special effects within Volcano Bay, unveiling hidden images within the park and other exciting surprises!
Volcano Bay has different villages that feature their own attractions, giving guests the option to rent out cabanas where they can relax all day long.
The extraordinary water park will feature the Wave Village, River Village and Rainforest Village.
Inside the park you'll be able to pick from single-person rides to four-person canoe slides that you'll be able to enjoy with friends and family.
Guests won't be able to get enough of the attractions at Volcano Bay, which is just a hop and a skip away from all that the Universal Orlando Resort has to offer.
Pictured below, you can see a preview of the River Village, where you'll find multi-person slides, a wading river and toddler play areas like Runamukka Reef.
There's something for everyone at Volcano Bay! From toddler play areas that have a more relaxed environment to epic slides that will have your adrenaline pumping like never before.
Another part of the River Village that we're incredibly excited for? The Kopiko Wai Winding River.
The lazy river brings you beneath Volcano Bay's lava rocks, slowly bringing you through the Stargazer's Cavern where you'll be able to see the twinkling night sky above you as you wade through the waters.
The park will have thrilling rides inside and around the large volcano, making for a truly one-of-a-king experience for those who visit.
Inside the volcano, guests will discover rides that will truly push their limits, with body plunges including a 70 degree fall through a drop doors and body slides that will drop and send you through winding watery tubes. These exciting attractions will keep you busy to say the least.
