Tarpon Springs is a small city of around 23,000 people in Pinellas County. With the highest percentage of Greek Americans in the country, it’s the closest you can get to a vacation in Greece without leaving the U.S.

This picturesque town only 30 minutes from Tampa is full of history and fun. It's called the Sponge Capital of the World, and when you visit you'll immediately see why.

Visitors to this town feel like they've been transported to a Greek village when strolling by the sponge docks, Greek restaurants and shops.

Tarpon Springs also has a rich history as a Victorian vacation spot, with stunning architecture throughout the downtown and Spring Bayou areas.
