What could be more Floridian than fresh citrus and Key lime pie? Sure, it might be on the touristy side, but there’s a reason Bob Roth’s New River Groves has been a landmark in Davie for over 50 years.
A classic Florida roadside attraction, the bright orange and green building on Griffin Road in Davie will definitely catch your eye.
The Roths started packing and shipping citrus here in 1964, and the shop has remained a popular stop for both tourists and natives looking for special treats and gifts.
They started making the award-winning pies in the '70s and now sell all kinds of homemade pies, from chocolate mousse to banana cream. They also have traditional holiday pies and unique specialty pies like mango Key lime and pumpkin Key lime, which are only available at certain times of the year.
Oh yeah, and did we mention incredible homemade fudge? Here, you'll find dozens of varieties offered throughout the year, including the ever-popular Key lime.
The orange groves may be getting harder to find, but Bob Roth's New River Groves is still open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day. Come down and enjoy some delicious food, with a side of Florida history.
