Located 30 minutes from Stuart in Southeast Florida, The Martin Grade Scenic Highway sits between Lake Okeechobee on the left and the Atlantic Ocean on the right. Along the way, you’ll encounter a truly enchanting tunnel of trees.
This 12-mile byway has been around for many years, but it only just recently became an official Florida Scenic Highway in 2015.
The road ends in the Allapattah Flats Wildlife Management Area, 22,000 acres where visitors can enjoy hiking, biking, wildlife viewing, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and primitive camping. Visitors can also check out nearby small towns like Indiantown, Okeechobee, and Stuart.
