One of the great things about living in Florida is that we don’t have to be stuck indoors all winter. In fact, some of our parks are nicer in the winter than in the summer, when you’ll probably get eaten alive by mosquitos. If you’re looking for a place to spend some time outdoors this winter, we have one you might have never heard of before:
Tree Tops Park is a Broward County park located in Davie. The 243-acre park has nature trails, picnic shelters and three playgrounds for little ones.
Walking the trails, the ancient oak trees intertwine and form a dense canopy overhead.
The lush tropical surroundings here give you the feeling of walking through some combination of a fairy tale forest and an exotic jungle.
A 28-foot-high observation tower lets you climb up into the canopy and see the scenery and wildlife from a birdseye view.
The park also offers opportunities for fishing, canoeing, and paddleboat rentals on weekends.
Looking for something to do this winter? Bring the whole family to this hidden oasis for a day of fun exploring Florida's natural beauty.
Have you ever been to Tree Tops Park? What’s your favorite little-known Florida park?
