Every year in Dade City, Florida, there is a holiday festival that brings the community together. The Scarecrow Festival is a sensational annual event that ushers in the Halloween season the right way. The Pioneer Florida Museum and Village in Dade City is a stunning historic space on over 16 acres of land, which allows visitors to take a trip back in time.
The Scarecrow Festival which takes place at The Pioneer Florida Museum and Village is a one-of-a-kind event that brings family, friends, and the community together to enjoy a little bit of Halloween festivities.
This year the festival takes place on October 13th, and provides guests with activities such as building their own scarecrows, pumpkin picking, petting zoos, carnival games, live entertainment, and so much more.
All the historic buildings will still be open during the festival, which means guests can wander in and out and enjoy the period costume characters and more.
Enjoy a day out in the beautiful Florida sunshine, listening to live music, snacking on food from local food trucks, and painting pumpkins you find in the patch.
Perhaps the highlight of the whole festival is the build your own scarecrow event, which costs $5 to enter, with proceeds going to both the museum as well as the Special Olympics.
