It’s safe to say that Florida sees quite a few transplants. It’s likely more rare to see someone born and raised here than spotting the legendary Skunk Ape in the wild. With that said, plenty of places throughout the Sunshine State offer out-of-state deliciousness that might make you feel at home. For any northeastern transplants, in case you’re missing some fresh deli offerings, pickle on the side, we have a Miami spot you must visit. The Big Apple Delicatessen is a hidden gem deli in Florida serving up huge sandwiches, New York-style.

Head on over to Biscayne Boulevard and 110th for a taste of the Big Apple right in the heart of Miami.
Offering only the finest ingredients, the portions here are exactly as you’d imagine, layered with meats and cheeses. You can barely get your hands wrapped around these sandwiches!
Inside, the decor is filled with New York memorabilia. From the diner-style seating to photos of the skyline, baseball jerseys, and much more hanging on the walls.
A few Big Apple Specialty items include sandwiches like the Reuben, layered with corned beef, hot pastrami, or fresh turkey and piled high with Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Thousand Island on Rye bread grilled to perfection. Comes with coleslaw or Potato salad on the side.
The best part is that even if you don’t have time to order in and stay for a while, you can order to-go, perusing the deli case offerings filled with fresh potato salads, tuna salads, bagel spreads, and more.
But we can almost guarantee that these gargantuan sandwiches are some of the biggest you’ll find on this side of town. Not to mention some of the tastiest, too.
