There is something to be said about a place serving up fresh donuts every day since the 1960s. Turner’s Donuts in Bradenton, Florida, is a tried-and-true place to get coffee and donuts with a little bit of nostalgia thrown in the mix, too. With a classic diner-style setting, fresh donuts baking every day, and piping hot coffee, this is the perfect place to kick off your day. Check out this old-school donut shop in Bradenton and see why it’s withstood the test of time.
Back in the 1940s, two brothers, Al and Bob Pelton, started working at a potato-flour donut shop called Spudnuts. After aiming to find a lighter, less greasy way to make delicious donuts, a new recipe was born with over 200 franchised locations.
Today, Turner’s Donuts retains much of the same charm and nostalgia as the 1960s, thanks to new owners Thang and Yee Chau, who have owned Turner's since 1998.
With around 2,000 donuts made every day, you can snag a few sweet treats from the shop, or at various gas stations and convenience stores within Manatee County.
