Everyone loves a good comeback story, right? I know I certainly do. Some of my favorite movies have comeback stories that always leave me feeling great afterward. In Florida, there are quite a few comeback stories that are worth sharing, from space exploration along the Palm Coast to towns like Mount Dora and Sanford. But we have another story that deserves to be told, especially with the big comeback it promises to South Floridians.
The Miami Marine Stadium is an iconic venue located on Virginia Key in Miami, Florida. Originally opened in 1963, the stadium quickly became a cultural and architectural landmark.
With its waterfront location and a unique, modernist design featuring a cantilevered roof, the stadium hosted a variety of events, including boat races, concerts, and other water-based performances.
